Kannada Film Director Geetapriya dead
Bengaluru: Well-known Kannada film director Lakshman Rao
who is known as Geetapriya (85) died at K.C. General Hospital at Bengaluru on Sunday, 17th
January 2016.
Geetapriya directed more than 40 films including famous Mannina
Maga, Durgastami, Naari Munidare Maari, Besuge, Mouna Geete, Putani Agent etc.
He was known for lyrics and enteed the filed as lyricist.
He got national award for his Mannina Maga. Shravana Sambhrama was the last film he directed.

Geetapriya born on 15th June 1930. He entered
the Kannada Film field in 1954 as lyricist and became director with direction of Mannina Maga in which famous
kannada actor Dr. Rajkumar acted. It was released in 1968.
