Bengalure: An engineering college student has been detained by Tumkur  Police in Karnataka on Tuesday, 16th August 2016 for allegedly raising anti –India slogans.

According to local media reports from Tumkur, Principal of SSIT College dismissed two students Dharinish Ahmad bhat from Kashmir and  Praveen Singh from Bihar after protests from ABVP members.

Reports said that Dharnish Ahmad bhat, Praveen Singh, Abhishek Singh and Mohit  Singh raised anti national slogans on Sunday 14th August 2016th late night while returning to hostel from College after celebrating the birthday of one Manjil Kumar.

It is said that these students protested against the security men when they were prevented by him to enter the hostel wih bottles of liquor.  During this protest they allegedly raised Pakistan zindabad slogans, reports said.
