'Poison on the Platter' 

The film 'Poison on the Platter'  is aimed at raising awareness and to enlighten the people about the introduction of GM crops in the Indian market and the irreversible adverse impacts on human health. It will be premiered at Bangalore on 7 March 2009

Genetically modified crops are rapidly finding their way into our field. The first among them in india is soon to be on our platter in less than two months.-Bt Brinjal.GM foods and crops are the unknown and hidden enemy for human beings,especially for children. They spell disaster and misery in the longrun to its unsuspecting consumers.
 
“The Right to Choose Safe Food' is a fundamental right of consumers in a democracy. However, the onslaught of GM crops has been robbing the people of their right to choose.” This is the theme based on which Mahesh Bhatt (Filmmaker and Presenter of Poison on the Platter) and Ajay Kanchan (Director) have put together the film‘Poison on the Platter’ - portraying the introduction of Genetically Modified (GM) crops in India as the end of choice .

 The film is aimed at raising awareness and to enlighten the people about the introduction of GM crops in the Indian market and the irreversible adverse impacts on human health.
