Chennai flooded again
Chennai (Tamilnadu): Incessant rains flooded Chennai
again. Many parts of the region waterlogged. Flood water entered many housed in
the city.
Army Flood Relief Columns carrying out extensive flood
rescue and relief ops in Tambaram and Urapakkam areas in Chennai.
Considering IMD forecast of heavy rain for next 4
days,trying to mobilize maximum teams to affected areas said DG NDRF OP Singh.
Ten teams of NDRF already deployed in Tamil Nadu, 5
teams comprising 300 men about to reach Tamil Nadu, he said.
Heavy rain forecasted on Wednesday for Chennai,
Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram, Puducherry & many coastal areas.
