Sharan clinch gold in Tennis

Delhi: Bopanna and Sharan won the second gold of the day for India as they
romped home to vistory in men’s doubles tennis on Friday, 24th
August 2018. Heena Sidhu registered a strong comeback to clinch broze in 10m
air pistol women’s final.
This came after the rowers added 1 gold and 2 bronze earlier in the day. Gold followed two bronze and day 6 has got off to a blazing start for the rowers.
After a heartbreaking day 5, India finally finish on the podium with Dushyant finishing third with a time of 7:18.76.
Bhagwan Singh and Rohit Kumar then doubled the joy as they bagged bronze in men’s lightweight double sculls.
India will also be aiming for gold medals in kabaddi and tennis on Day 6 of Asian Games 2018. The Indian women’s kabaddi team, who defeated Chinese Taipei in the semi-final, will face Iran in the summit clash.
In tennis, the men’s doubles team of Rohan Bopanna and Divij Sharan registered a hard fought victory to enter the tennis final and on Friday, they will have a brilliant chance of adding another gold to India’s tally.
On Day 5, shooter Shardul Vihan bagged silver in Men’s Double Trap while Indian men’s kabaddi team failed to enter the final for the first time since 1990.
