BJP: Voter ruled!

Today, 25 May 2008, people of state delivered their judgement (on Karantaka State Assembly Elections for 224 seats.)

Earlier to their judgement, B.S. Yeddyurappa of BJP claimed 140 seats for his party, while Mallikarjuna Kharge of Congress claimed 105-115 seats for Congress. H.D. Devegowda of Janatadal (S) has declined to predict any seats for his party, Y.S.V. Datta of Jantadal (s) has claimed 70 -75 seats to his party. PGR Sindhia of Bahujan Samaj Party said that no party will get majority while BJP will emerge Single largest Party. S. Bangarappa of Samajwadi Party also claimed that no party will get majority.


But, what is the verdict

of Karnataka People?


PARYAYA presented the picture in nutshel for those who kept their eyes on PARYAYA since 8 am till 6.00 pm, minute by minute.

Battle of nerves which showed neck to neck fight between BJP and Congress from the begining ended with the victory of BJP. By 06:00 pm BJP stepped towards victory with winning 110 seats out of 224 seats of Karnataka Legislative Assembly. Though short of three seats for simple majority, it pushed Congress to second position. Janatadal (S) had to satisfy for 3rd position. BJP will hold its legislature party meeting tomorrow in Bangalore to officially elect its leader. Congress has accepted the defeat.

BJP: 110
Congress: 80
Janatadal (S): 28
Others: 6








BJP won first seat in Sullya (Dakshina Kannada) Angara of BJP won the seat, leading the party towards victory.

Leaders Won: B.S. Yeddyurappa , H.D. Kumaraswamy (JD-S), Basavaraja Bommai (BJP),Jaggesh (Congress)

Leaders Defeated: Madhu Bangarappa, Ambaresh, Shashikumar, Kumar Bangarappa.

And now at last it is crystal clear that BJP is the choice of Karnataka People to run the next Government and it is the judgement delivered by Karnataka voters. With this victory BJP has opened doors of power in South India. PARYAYA congrats B.S. Yeddyurappa and other leaders for their succes.
