SNNA Stages Gandhigiri in Police Station

Bangalore: Residents and site owners of Sachidananda Nagara Layout in Raja Rajeshwari Nagar staged Gandhigiri in Raja Rajeshwari Nagar Police Station on Saturday 17th November 2012 to press their demand to take action against land mafia in the area.

Members of Sachidananda Nagara Nyayapara Andolana (SNNA) met the Police Inspector Sri Ravi  with Roses and presented the memorandum to him pressing the legal action against the tresspasers and law breakers who are carrying out land mafia activities in the layout.

The Facts of the case according to the memorandum are::

* Civil Court upheld the legality, ownership issue and directed BBMP to issue Khatas, Building Plans to site holders of Sachidanadna Nagara in 2005. This order of Civil Court was upheld by High Court in 2006 and Supreme Court in 2010. With Supreme Court Judgment the said civil court decree order attained finality.

* Tahsildar of Bangalore South issued endorsement regarding the creation of  fake documents (in 2007) related to the portion of land of layout and  lodged complaint to the RR Nagar Police to register criminal cases against two persons namely Naveen Kumar & Vijay. Case was registered against Naveen Kumar, but the other one was leftout.

* One Vijay who is suspected to be the left out person, allegedly creating records after records on the basis of first fake document and impersonating himself in various names

* High Court of Karnataka issued Status-Quo order regarding the entries in the land in question in 2010. But BBMP officials violated the Order and issued Khata's and Building Licences in favor of above mentioned alleged persons. These persons even built building up to 5 floors neglecting fact that they were given the permission to  build 2^nd floor only. They even damaged the  public road, drainage, water pipe lines etc  formed way back during 1993 to 2000. This road was clearly shown in the GIS Map prepared by Sky Group in 2012 on orders of  BBMP and also in the layout map.

* Complaints lodged  by site owners from the beginning were neglected and unheeded by the police.

They demanded to 

• Register Cases and File FIR immediately against the offenders mentioned above & initiate action as per law and arrest them.
• Respect Court Orders and Police Commissioner’s direction and give protection to  site owners. (various judgments and  other relevant records attached to the memorandum)
• Initiate action to vacate the  tress passers in the sites/ sheds in the layout and to fulfill the other demands mentioned in the detailed memo attached to this memorandum..

 Police Inspector Mr. Ravi heard pleadings patiently and assured the site owners that he will initiate action immediately to stop all activities conducted by the miscreants against court orders. He also assured to take-up the matter with higher officers to  chalk out the action plan on the issue.

Bangalore: Sri Pranob Mohanti, Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime) has ordered  the Police Inspector Rajarajeshwari Nagar Police Station Mr. Yogendra Kumar to take action against anti social elements under Goonda Act and warn them not to enter and indulge in illigal activities in Sachidananda Nagara Layout in the jurisdiction of Rajarajeshwari Nagara.

After collecting details from the joint delegation of Sachidanda Nagara Nyayapara Andolana (SNNA) and India Against Corruption (IAC) on on Friday, 14th October 2011 regarding the illegal activities by anti social elements and orders of various courts including Supreme Court  regarding the legality and ownership issue of the layout, he told the Inspector  that the 'Order of Supreme Court is supreme and  everyone must abide by it.'

He collected the details from the Police Inspector too and directed him to invoke Goonda Act against culprits if they continue illigal activities..

Mr. Mohanti has also directed the Inspector to remove all illigal structures constructed by the anti social elements, when the delegation called his attention towards the the illgal  constructions by anti social elements in Survey Number 240.

SNNA with the support of IAC staged Gandhigiri in the premises of  Commissionerate of Police on 13th October 2011 Thursday along with roses and submitted the memorendum  Commissioner of Police Sri. Jyothi Prakash Mirji, and requested to provide protection to the genuine site owners against illigal activities by anti social elements and land mafia.

About 80 people waited the Police Commissioner's office for about 5 hours to meet Police Commissioner Sri Mirji, as he was busy with the Chief Minister Sri Sadananda Gowda in the inspection of Metro works.

Mr. Mirji, after hearing the grievances of the site owners of Sachidananda Nagara assured that he look in to the matter and assigned Joint Commissioner of Police Mr. Pranob Mahanti to sort out the issue.

Earlier, Rajarajeshwari Nagar police declined to register cases against the anti social elements supported by land mafia who were indulging in creation of documents against court judgments and illegal constructions in the layout. However Police started to register complaints against offenders after DCP (West) S.N. Sidramappa who verified documents with SNNA delegation on 3rd October 2011, directed to register cases. But they refused to warn the offenders to stop the illegal constructions.

Then SNNA decided to stage Gandhigiri.

ಬೆಳಗ್ಗೆ ಬೇಲಿ... ರಾತ್ರಿ ಖಾಲಿ, ಖಾಲಿ..!

ದಡ ದಡನೆ ಬಂದ ಟಿಪ್ಪರುಗಳು ರಸ್ತೆಯ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಲೋಡುಗಟ್ಟಲೆ ಮಣ್ಣು ಸುರಿದವು. ಆಳುಕಾಳುಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಬಂದ ನಾಲ್ಕೈದು ಮಂದಿ ತಾರು ರಸ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಅಗೆದರು. ಕಲ್ಲು ನೆಟ್ಟು  ತಂತಿ ಬಿಗಿದು ಮರದ ಕೊಂಬೆಗಳನ್ನೂ ಕತ್ತರಿಸಿ ತಂದು ತಾರು ರಸ್ತೆಯ ಮಧ್ಯದಲ್ಲೇ 'ಮುಳ್ಳು ಬೇಲಿ' ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದರು.

ಆಸು  ಪಾಸಿನ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳು ನೋಡ ನೋಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಂತೆಯೇ ಜನ - ವಾಹನ ಸಂಚಾರಕ್ಕೆ ಮುಕ್ತವಾಗಿದ್ದ ರಸ್ತೆ ಬಂದ್ ಆಗಿ ಹೋಯಿತು. ದೊಡ್ಡ ವಾಹನಗಳು ಬಿಡಿ, ದ್ವಿಚಕ್ರ ವಾಹನಗಳೂ ಸಂಚರಿಸಲಾಗದಂತೆ ಆಗಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟಿತು.

ಅಕ್ಕ ಪಕ್ಕದ ಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಮಂದಿಗೆ ಏನು ಮಾಡಬೇಕೋ ಗೊತ್ತಾಗಲಿಲ್ಲ. ತತ್ ಕ್ಷಣಕ್ಕೆ ನೆನಪಿಗೆ ಬಂದದ್ದು ನ್ಯಾಯಪರ ಆಂದೋಲನ.

ಕೆಲವೇ ಸಮಯದ ಹಿಂದೆ ಇದೇ ಬಡಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಬಿಎಂಪಿ ಖಾತೆ ಪಡೆಯುವ ಸಲುವಾಗಿ ಹೋರಾಟ ನಡೆಸಿದ್ದ ಸಚ್ಚಿದಾನಂದ ನಗರ ನ್ಯಾಯಪರ ಆಂದೋಲನದ ಕೆಲವು ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತರ ಮನೆಗಳ ಫೋನ್ ಗಳು ರಿಂಗಣಿಸಿದವು. ಸಚ್ಚಿದಾನಂದ ನಗರದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಠಾತ್ತನೆ ಬೀದಿಯ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ಮಣ್ಣಿನ ರಾಶಿ, ಮುಳ್ಳುಬೇಲಿ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಯಾದ ವಿಚಾರ ಆಂದೋಲನದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತರ ದೂರವಾಣಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ವಿನಿಮಯಗೊಂಡಿತು.

ಆಂದೋಲನದ ಸಂಚಾಲಕರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬರಾದ ಶಂಕರ ಪ್ರಸಾದ್ ಅವರ ದೂರವಾಣಿ ರಾಜ ರಾಜೇಶ್ವರಿ ನಗರ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯನ್ನು  ಸಂಪರ್ಕಿಸಿತು. 'ಈ ರಸ್ತೆ ಬಂದ್' ವಿರುದ್ಧ ತತ್ ಕ್ಷಣ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳುವಂತೆ ಪೊಲೀಸರಿಗೆ ಮನವಿ ಸಲ್ಲಿಕೆಯಾಯಿತು.


'ತತ್ ಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಪೊಲೀಸರನ್ನು ಕಳುಹಿಸುತ್ತೇವೆ' ಎಂಬ ಭರವಸೆ ಪೊಲೀಸರಿಂದ ಬಂತು. ಆದರೆ ಸಂಜೆ ಶಂಕರ ಪ್ರಸಾದ್, ಮುರಳಿಧರ ಮತ್ತಿತರ ಆಂದೋಲನದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತರು ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯ ಹೊಸಿಲು ತುಳಿಯುವವರೆಗೂ ಪೊಲೀಸರು  ಅತ್ತ ತಲೆ ಹಾಕಲಿಲ್ಲ!

ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಘಟನೆ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ವಿವರಿಸಿದರೂ ಪೊಲೀಸರಿಂದ ನೆರವು ದೊರೆಯುವ ಲಕ್ಷಣ ಕಾಣಲಿಲ್ಲ. 'ತೊಂದರೆಗೆ ಒಳಗಾದ ನಿವೇಶನದಾರರು ಯಾರಾದರೂ ದೂರು ನೀಡಿದರೆ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಬಹುದು' ಎಂಬ ಪುಕ್ಕಟೆ ಸಲಹೆ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಂದ.

ಸಾರ್ವಜನಿಕ ರಸ್ತೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಈ  ಕೃತ್ಯ ನಡೆದಿದೆ ಸ್ವಾಮೀ. ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಸುದ್ದಿ ಬಂದಾಗ ತಾವಾಗಿಯೇ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕಲ್ಲವೇ ಎಂಬ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಗೆ 'ಬಿಬಿಎಂಪಿಯವರು ದೂರು ಕೊಟ್ಟು ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಕೇಳಿದರೆ ಕ್ರಮ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳಬಹುದು' ಎಂಬ ಉತ್ತರ.

'ಸರಿ ಸ್ವಾಮಿ, ಹಾಗಾದರೆ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಕಮೀಷನರ್ ಅವರ ಬಳಿಗೇ ಹೋಗುತ್ತೇವೆ' ಎಂಬ ಮಾತು ಹೇಳಿ ಆಂದೋಲನದ ಕಾರ್ಯಕರ್ತರು ಅಲ್ಲಿಂದ ಹೊರಟದ್ದೇ ತಡ, ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಚುರುಕಾದರು.

ಸ್ವಲ್ಪವೇ ಹೊತ್ತಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ಥಳೀಯ ಕ್ಷೇಮಾಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಸಂಘದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಮಂಜುನಾಥ್ ಗೆ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಬುಲಾವ್ ಹೋಯಿತು. ನ್ಯಾಯಪರ ಆಂದೋಲನದ ಹೋರಾಟದ ಫಲವಾಗಿ ಬಡಾವಣೆಯ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಬಿಬಿಎಂಪಿ ಖಾತೆ ವಿತರಣೆ ಮಾಡುವ ವೇಳೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಿಬಿಎಂಪಿ ಕಚೇರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ದಾಂಧಲೆ ನಡೆಸಿ, ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳು ಮಧ್ಯರಾತ್ರಿಯವರೆಗೂ  ಕಾಯುವಂತಹ ಸನ್ನಿವೇಶ ಸೃಷ್ಟಿ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದ ಇದೇ ಮಂಜುನಾಥ್ ಅವರು ಬಡಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಸ್ತೆ ಮಧ್ಯೆ ಬೇಲಿ ಹಾಕುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗಲೂ ಆ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ  ಅಡ್ಡಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದುದು ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳ ಗಮನಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದಿತ್ತು. ಈ ಘಟನೆಯ ಹಿಂದೆ ಅವರ ಕೈವಾಡ ಇರಬೇಕೆಂಬ ಗುಮಾನಿ ಅದಾಗಲೇ ಹಲವರನ್ನು ಕಾಡಿತ್ತು. ರಾತ್ರಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ಪೊಲೀಸರು ಕರೆಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದ ಬಳಿಕ  ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ವ್ಯಾನಿನೊಂದಿಗೆ ಭಾರೀ  ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯ ಜನ 'ಬಂದ್' ಆಗಿದ್ದ ರಸ್ತೆಯ ಬಳಿಗೆ ಬಂದರು...!.

ಬೆಳಗ್ಗೆ ಸೂರ್ಯ ಉದಯಿಸಿದ ಬಳಿಕ ಎಷ್ಟು  ತರಾತುರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ರಸ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ಬಂದ್ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತೋ ಅದಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ತರಾತುರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸೂರ್ಯ ಮುಳುಗಿದ ಬೆನ್ನಲ್ಲೇ ಕತ್ತಲೆಯಲ್ಲೇ 'ರಸ್ತೆ ತೆರವು' ಕಾರ್ಯಾಚರಣೆ ನಡೆದೇ ಬಿಟ್ಟಿತು. ರಾತ್ರಿ 9 ಗಂಟೆ ಆಗುವ ಹೊತ್ತಿಗೆ ರಸ್ತೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಹಾಕಿದ್ದ ಲೋಡುಗಟ್ಟಲೆ ಮಣ್ಣು, ಮುಳ್ಳುಬೇಲಿ ಮಂಗ ಮಾಯ.!

ಇದೆಂತಹ ಮ್ಯಾಜಿಕ್..! ಹೀಗೂ ಉಂಟಾ ಎಂದು ಯೋಚಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದೀರಾ?

ಯೋಚನೆ ಬೇಕಿಲ್ಲ. ಭ್ರಷ್ಟಾಚಾರದ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಹೋರಾಟ ನಡೆಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ರಾಜರಾಜೇಶ್ವರಿ ನಗರ ವ್ಯಾಪ್ತಿಯ ಸಚ್ಚಿದಾನಂದ ನಗರದ ವಿಶ್ವಭಾರತಿ ಎಚ್.ಬಿ.ಸಿ.ಎಸ್. ಬಡಾವಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ 2011 ಫೆಬ್ರುವರಿ 10ರ ಗುರುವಾರ ನಡೆದ ನಿಜ ಘಟನೆ ಇದು.

ಈ ಬಡಾವಣೆ ನ್ಯಾಯಬದ್ಧವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂಬುದಾಗಿ ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯಗಳು  ಸಾರಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರೂ, ಅದನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಲಕ್ಷಿಸಿ ಬಿಬಿಎಂಪಿ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು, ಜನ ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಗಳು, ರೆವೆನ್ಯೂ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು, ಭೂ ಮಾಫಿಯಾಗಳು ಒಂದಾಗಿ ಇಲ್ಲಿನ ಜಾಗ ಕಬಳಿಸಲು ನಡೆಸಿದ ಯತ್ನದ ಪರಿಣಾಮ ಈ ಘಟನೆ.

ನಾಗರಿಕರು ಎಚ್ಚೆತ್ತಿದ್ದರೆ ಇಂತಹುದೆಲ್ಲ ನಡೆಯುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂಬುದಕ್ಕೆ ಈ ಘಟನೆ ಉದಾಹರಣೆಯೂ ಹೌದು. ಈ ಬಡಾವಣೆಯ ಎಚ್ಚೆತ್ತ ನಿವೇಶನದಾರರು ಲಂಚ ಕೊಡುವುದಿಲ್ಲ ಎಂಬುದಾಗಿ ಪಟ್ಟು ಹಿಡಿದು ಕೈಗೊಂಡ ಹೋರಾಟದ ಪರಿಣಾಮವಾಗಿ ರಾಜರಾಜೇಶ್ವರಿ ನಗರ ಬಿಬಿಎಂಪಿ ಕಚೇರಿ 2010 ನವೆಂಬರ್ 15ರಂದು ನಡುರಾತ್ರಿಯವರೆಗೂ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಿ ಖಾತೆಗಳನ್ನು ವಿತರಿಸಿದ 'ಐತಿಹಾಸಿಕ' ಘಟನೆಯೂ ನಡೆದಿತ್ತು ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಮರೆಯುವಂತಿಲ್ಲ.

ಇಷ್ಟಾದ ಬಳಿಕ ಆಂದೋಲನದ ಸದಸ್ಯರು ಸುಮ್ಮಗೇನೂ ಕುಳಿತುಕೊಳ್ಳಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಮರುದಿನ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಕಮೀಷನರ್ ಅವರನ್ನು ಭೇಟಿ ಮಾಡಿ ನಡೆದ ಘಟನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಗಮನಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದು, ದೂರು ನೀಡಿದರು. ದೂರು  ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿದ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಕಮೀಷನರ್ ಶಂಕರ ಬಿದರಿ ಸೂಕ್ತ ಕ್ರಮದ ಭರವಸೆ ನೀಡಿದರು.

 ಇದರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಇರುವ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳು ಫೆಬ್ರುವರಿ 10ರಂದು ನಡೆದ ಘಟನೆಯನ್ನು  ನಿಮ್ಮ ಕಣ್ಮುಂದೆ ತೆರೆಯುತ್ತವೆ. ರಸ್ತೆ ಬಂದ್ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವ ದೃಶ್ಯ, ನಂತರ ರಸ್ತೆಯನ್ನು ತೆರವುಗೊಳಿಸಿದ ದೃಶ್ಯ ಹಾಗೂ  ಪಕ್ಕದ ನಿವೇಶನದಲ್ಲಿ ಈಗಲೂ ಮಣ್ಣು- ತ್ಯಾಜ್ಯ ವಸ್ತುಗಳ ರಾಶಿ ಬಿದ್ದಿರುವ ದೃಶ್ವಗಳನ್ನು ಚಿತ್ರಗಳನ್ನು ಕ್ಲಿಕ್ಕಿಸಿ, ದೊಡ್ಡ ಚಿತ್ರಗಳನ್ನೂ ನೋಡಬಹುದು. ಇಲ್ಲಿರುವ ಮೊದಲ ಚಿತ್ರ 10ರಂದು ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನ ಕ್ಲಿಕ್ಕಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಉಳಿದ ಎರಡು ಚಿತ್ರಗಳು ಮರುದಿನ ಬೆಳಗ್ಗೆ ಕ್ಲಿಕ್ಕಿಸಿದ್ದು.

ಹಾಗೆಯೇ ನವೆಂಬರ್ 15ರ 'ನಡುರಾತ್ರಿ ಖಾತೆ' ವಿತರಣೆ ನಡೆದ ಘಟನೆಯ ವಿಡಿಯೋಗಳನ್ನೂ  ಕೆಳಗೆ  ವೀಕ್ಷಿಸಬಹುದು.

ರಸ್ತೆ ತಡೆ ಘಟನೆ ನಡೆದ ಒಂದು ವಾರದ ಒಳಗಾಗಿ, ಫೆಬ್ರುವರಿ 16ರ ಬುಧವಾರ ಸಚ್ಚಿದಾನಂದ ನಗರ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳ ಕ್ಷೇಮಾಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಸಂಘದ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಮಂಜುನಾಥ್ ಅವರಿಂದ ಹಲವಾರು ನಿವೇಶನದಾರರಿಗೆ ಎಸ್ಎಂಎಸ್ ಸಂದೇಶ ರವಾನೆಯಾಗಿದೆ.


 'ನಿಮ್ಮ ನಿವೇಶನ ಅಪಾಯದಲ್ಲಿದೆ. ತತ್ ಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಪರ್ಕಿಸಿ' ಎಂಬುದು ಈ  ಸಂದೇಶದ ಸೂಚನೆ.


ಸಂದೇಶವನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸಿ ಸಂಪರ್ಕಿಸಿದವರಿಗೆ ಬರುತ್ತಿರುವ  ಉತ್ತರ: 'ಭೂಮಾಲೀಕರು 10ರಂದು ರಸ್ತೆ ತಡೆದು ತೊಂದರೆ ಉಂಟು ಮಾಡಲು ಯತ್ನಿಸಿದ್ದರು. ನಾನು ಗದರಿಸಿ ಅದನ್ನು ತೆರವು ಮಾಡಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ನಿವೇಶನದಾರರೆಲ್ಲ ತತ್ ಕ್ಷಣ ಸಂಘದ ವಕೀಲರನ್ನು ಸಂಪರ್ಕಿಸಿ. ನ್ಯಾಯಾಲಯದಿಂದ ತಡೆಯಾಜ್ಞೆ ತರಬೇಕಾಗಿದೆ...' ಇತ್ಯಾದಿ.

ಕೆಲ ಸಮಯದ ಹಿಂದೆ ಇಡೀ ಬಡಾವಣೆಯೇ ಅಕ್ರಮವಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದ ಇದೇ ಮಂಜುನಾಥ್ ಅವರು ಬಡಾವಣೆ 'ಸಕ್ರಮಗೊಳಿಸಲು' ನಿವೇಶನದಾರರಿಂದ ಕೋಟ್ಯಂತರ ರೂಪಾಯಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಿದ್ದು, ಹೀಗೆ ಮಾಡುವ ಕೆಲವೇ ದಿನಗಳ ಮುನ್ನ ಬಿಬಿಎಂಪಿಯ ಬುಲ್ ಡೋಜರುಗಳು  ಮನೆಗಳನ್ನು ಒಡೆದುಹಾಕಲು ಬಂದದ್ದು ನಿವೇಶನದಾರರಿಗೆ ಇನ್ನೂ  ನೆನಪಿರಬಹುದು.

ಇತಿಹಾಸದ ಪುನರಾರ್ತನೆಗೆ ಸಿದ್ಧತೆಗಳು ಜೋರಾಗಿ ನಡೆದಿವೆ. ಇಂತಹವರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಭೂಮಾಲೀಕರೆಂದು ಹೇಳಿಕೊಂಡು  ತಿರುಗಾಡುತ್ತಿರುವವರು ಹಾಗೂ ವಿಎಚ್ ಬಿಸಿ ಸೊಸೈಟಿಯ ಹೊಸ ಆಡಳಿತ ಮಂಡಳಿಯ ಕೆಲ ಸದಸ್ಯರೂ ಸೇರಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ವರದಿಗಳಿವೆ. ಈಗ ಎಚ್ಚರಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕಾದುದು ತುರ್ತು ಅಗತ್ಯ.

H.Y.Mahesh, Your memory remains forever

Mr. H.Y. Mahesh who has been fighting corruption in BBMP for the past three Years through intense use of RTI and Lokayukta died in an accident this Monday (20th December 2010) Morning. Mahesh was fatally hit from behind by a BMTC bus while he was on his Scooter and he succumbed to injuries before he arrived at the Victoria Hospital.

He was on his way to Lokayukta office to file a complaint against BBMP Officers And Revenue Department officials.

Mahesh  had waged an intense war against corruption at BBMP and for the past
Three years, he along with me and Dr. Shankara Prasad had worked under the banner of Sachidananda Nagara Nyayapara Andolana (SNNA) (www.nyayapara-andolana.org) and had used RTI and Lokayukta to solve the problem of Khata issual at BBMP.

Most recently, Mahesh was called one of the “Khata Warriors” of Bangalore and he along with others was successful in convincing Lokayukta Justice Santosh Hegde to issue a directive to BBMP Commissioner to issue Khata to all Sachidananda Nagar site owners, according to the Supreme Court order.

His hard work of more than three years had benefited more than 900 Bangalore residents to get their BBMP Khatas without paying bribe.

After obtaining his B.Com degree, Mahesh has been in the Banking industry. He had been working with State Bank of India for the past 32 years with many
responsibilities.

 His passion had been to fight against injustice since his College days. He had taken keen interest in understanding government processes

And in intricately working towards trapping people involved in corrupt practices in government. His mission after retirement was to educate citizens of their Rights and duties. He is survived by his wife Harini , two daughters Namitha and Namratha apart from his aged mother and brothers.

“Losing such a dedicated activist who wanted to clean up the corrupt government
System, is a great loss to Bangaloreans and to Sachidananda Nagara Nyayapara
Andolana” said Dr. Shankara Prasad, who was a partner and coordinator of the
Andolana.

Now Mahesh, remained a memory to all of us. But his commitment, inspiring words and compassion to friends and family members will inspire all of us in forwarding the movement he committed and fulfill the task unfulfilled.

Bangalore: Sachidananda Nagara Nyayapara Andolana does Gandhi-Giri in front of BBMP Commissioner requesting BBMP to execute the court order.

About 100 families  met BBMP Commissioner Mr. Siddiah with roes and other flowers  on Thursday, 16th September 2010 noon by 4 pm at BBMP Head Quarters in Corporation Bangalore.and submitted memorandum demanding solvation to their Khata Problem..

Mr. Siddiah accepted the roses from everyone cheerfully and spent more than 45 minutes talking to the concerned citizens about the discrimination of BBMP officials in issuing khata certificates. He ordered Special Commissioner to review all the relevant judicial and government rulings and committed to giving a firm response within 24 hours.

Members from Loksatta, Coalition Against Corruption, Smart Vote and Namma Bengaluru Foundation joined the group in solidarity.

Observing the roses on everybody's hand Mr. Siddiah joked whether it is war of roses. He admitted that giving khatas to some persons and denying to others is unjustified.

Sachidananda Nagar Site Owners complained with the BBMP Commissioner that BBMP officials at Rajarajeshwari Nagar Zone are not obeying the Court Orders, Lokayukta directions and the orders from their higher officers in regard with registering Khata's to all without discrimination in accordance with the Civl Court Order O.S. 2355/2001.

Though Lokayukta has directed the BBMP Raja Rajeshwari Nagar Zone to issue Khatas to above said  Site owners in Sachid - ananda  Nagar, according to civil court order 2355/2001, the Rajarajeshwari Nagar BBMP Officials are using unsolicited letters from local MLA and other persons to stop issuing Khatas. This has caused tremendous agony to the site owners.

BBMP Additional Commissioner Mr. Ramachandra, who was supposed to execute the court order since March 2010, along with the other officials such as the Assistant Revenue Officer, keeps delaying the Khata issual with frivolous reasons such as MLAs letter and forged documents from private citizens. This kind of delaying tactics has been going on for more than 3 years, complained the site owners. The site owners also complained that the BBMP more than 70 to 80 khatas were issued to those who had paid “facilitation fee” through the Residents Welfare Association.

In the mean time, the sit owners suspect a conspiracy between the MLA, the Resident Welfare Association staff, and the BBMP officials and have uncovered more facts thru RTI, and today, they met the Commissioner to explain the covert operations by BBMP officials to delay the issual of Khatas to legitimate site owners in Sachidananda Nagar Layout.

The complainants have also requested Lokayukta to intervene and take suitable action against the MLA for his meddling in BBMP functions and causing obstruction to BBMP officials from performing their duties and serving the citizens of Bangalore.

After hearing the petition by the 120 site owners of Sachidananda Nagar Layout, the BBMP Commissioner has assured that he call all related fights within 24 hours and sincerly take action to solve the problem.
