Anup Krishna Bhat Nethrakere Photography Show

Bangalore: An Photography Show in Remembrance of Anup Krishna Bhat Nethrakere was organised at KEN School of Arts, Sheshadripuram Bangalore, where he studied and learnt Arts, Photography and Videography  on Saturaday, 22nd September 2018.

Show exhibited some selected and impressive photos clicked by Anup Krishna Bhat, who was a promising Photographer and Video Editor.

The show was inaugurated by Prominent Media person Dr. Narendra Madikeri and Principal of KEN School Mr. Umesh R.

Anup's father Nethrakere Udaya Shankara, mother N. Sadhana, sister Anusha Bhat Nethrakere, Aunty Kalpana, brother Madhu Bhat Purlupady and others attended.
The entire event was organised by Anup’s friends Rajesh, Shilpa Satish, Prithvi, Manju, Naveen, Shreyas, Shivu, Umar, Preetham, Viji, Munikrishna, Harish, Vijaya Krishna, Karthik and college mates of KEN School.

Along with Photography show few videos related to Anup Krishna Bhat, His college life and treatment were also presented on the occasion which exhibited the talent and his enthusiasm towards life and his friendly relationship with all. 

The Photography Show will continue till evening Monday 24th September 2018. Show will be opened from 10 am to 5 pm on 23rd and 24th September 2018.

MAKING OF GANESHA’  In M.G. Road Bangalore

Bangalore:  The Making of Ganesha is photo solo show by M. Lokeshwar Rao, who is a retired Indian Forest Service (IFS) officer and an artist & photographer by hobby.

 The show is from 11 to 13 th September 2018 11 AM to 7 PM at Belaku Gallery Rangoli Art centre, next to MG Road Metro station, M.G.Road, Bangalore.

 Statues are made by artisans put months of effort into making the statues from different parts of the country and brought to the homes, podiums, pandals and install the Ganesha and do pranapritishta and finally immerse in water.

The whole process of sequences from statue making till immersion is photographed from different parts of the country Hyderabad, Mumbai, Sangola Maharashtra, and Bangalore.

 Nearly 30 photographs of the Ganesh in different stages is photographed. The whole sequence is photographed in different years and exhibited.

“The whole process of photographing is exciting.  Many photos were taken in Hyderabad when i was working in Hyderabad and  want to showcase the work done the process of making Ganesha, hence the exhibition’ says Lokeshwar Rao.

Sri M.Lokeswara Rao belongs to 1983 batch of Indian Forest Service(I.F.S.) retired as Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Head of Forest Force, Nagaland.

Sometimes certain talents can never be taught. It’s an inborn trait some individuals are blessed with. Ever since M.Lokeswara Rao was a little child he had this different inclination towards drawing and sketching. He always had a different way to look into things with an altered perspective with a different perceptive ability. Imagination has no barrier. It is stronger than anything known to man, faster than the speed of light, deeper than the ocean of thoughts. It is the seed for the basic intellect of creativity & innovation. The displayed works are just some mere examples of reinvention of creative bliss. Every work has a deep thought and meaning supporting its visual description.

He got several awards and appreciation like.Art slant (USA) 4^th Showcase Award 2010for his painting Alladin. Appreciation from  Chitra Santhe 2011 organised by Karnataka Chitrakala Parishad, Bangalore ,Art Majeur Silver Award 2010, Art Majeur Silver Award 2011,Limited edition of selection of work for Miami Show 2010 By Art Slant, Art Slants Most Popular emerging Artist, Art slant 3^rd show case award 2011 for his painting Radha Krishna and 3^rd showcase award 2012 for his painting Universe. Buddha with lotus painting selected for All India Exhibition 2012 by Hyderabad rt Society.

RAo’s s paintings are published in a book International Contemporary Artists Vol-VI 2013 by ICA Publishers, New York, USA. A painting ‘Buddha the Great’ has been selected as popular vote winner by wall art magazine and his paintings are selected for National and International exhibitions.

He participated in several exhibitions nationally and internationally and several reviews about is works in both national and international press. He is a philatelist and got several awards for his philately.

Globalization: Is it 'Horse of Ashwamedha' ..?

Manohara Acharya, Senior Artist, Journalist and designer, serving 'Sudha', 'Prajavani' and 'Mayura' since several years, has tried to give new shape to Kannada fonts through his design. He says he tried to make use of new techniques availed to him through globalization which he calls 'Horse of Ashwamedha' to beautify Kannada Akshara (Kannada fonts) and the result is 'Chandada Kannada'!

ಜಾಗತೀಕರಣ ಎಂಬ ಅಶ್ವಮೇಧದ ಕುದುರೆಯನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಕಟ್ಟಿಹಾಕಿ ಪಳಗಿಸಿ ಅದರ ಮೂಲಕ ತಮ್ಮ ಕನ್ನಡ ಅಕ್ಷರಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊಸ ವಿನ್ಯಾಸ ನೀಡಿ ಚಂದ ಮಾಡಲು ಮನೋಹರ ಆಚಾರ್ಯ ಯತ್ನಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಹೌದು! ಅವರ 'ಚಂದದ ಕನ್ನಡ' ರೂಪುಗೊಂಡದ್ದು ಹೇಗೆ?

ನೆತ್ರಕೆರೆ ಉದಯಶಂಕರ

ಜಾಗತೀಕರಣ ಎಂದರೆ ಅಶ್ವಮೇಧದ ಕುದುರೆ.! ಯಾರು ಅದನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಕಟ್ಟಿ ಹಾಕಬಲ್ಲರೋ ಅವರು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯಾಗುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಅದನ್ನು ತಮಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದಂತೆ ಪಳಗಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಅದರಿಂದ ತಮಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದ ಲಾಭ ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ.

ಈ ಅಶ್ವಮೇಧದ ಕುದುರೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿ ಹಾಕಿ ನಮಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದಂತೆ ಪಳಗಿಸುವ ವಿದ್ಯೆಯನ್ನು ನಾವು ಇಂದು ಕರಗತ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬೇಕು.

ಹಿರಿಯ ಕಲಾವಿದ, ವಿನ್ಯಾಸಕಾರ, ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತ ಮನೋಹರ ಆಚಾರ್ಯ ಅವರ ವಿಚಾರ ಲಹರಿ ಹೀಗೆ ಓಡುತ್ತಿತ್ತು.

'ಕನ್ನಡ ಅಕ್ಷರಗಳ ವಿನ್ಯಾಸಕ್ಕೆ ಸಂಬಂಧಪಟ್ಟಂತೆಯೂ ಅಷ್ಟೇ. ನಾವು ಜಾಗತೀಕರಣದ ಅಶ್ವಮೇಧದ ಕುದುರೆಯನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿ ಹಾಕುವ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನವನ್ನೇ ಮಾಡಿಲ್ಲ. ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ ಅಕ್ಷರಗಳ ವಿನ್ಯಾಸ ನೋಡಿ.. ಅವರು ಅದನ್ನು ಪಳಗಿಸಿದ ಬಗೆ ನೋಡಿ..'

'ನಾನು ಈಗ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಅಂತಹ ಒಂದು ಯತ್ನ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಕನ್ನಡ ಅಕ್ಷರಗಳಿಗೆ 'ವಿನ್ಯಾಸ'ದ ಹೊಸ ರೂಪ ನೀಡಲು ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಿಸಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಜಾಗತೀಕರಣವೆಂಬ ಕುದುರೆಯನ್ನು ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಬಳಸಿಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ'

ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 14ರಿಂದ 18ರವರೆಗೆ ನಡೆಯಲಿರುವ ತಮ್ಮ 'ಚಂದದ ಕನ್ನಡ' ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಮನೋಹರ ಆಚಾರ್ಯ ಅವರು ಕನ್ನಡ ಅಕ್ಷರಗಳಿಗೆ ನೀಡಬಹುದಾದ ಹೊಸತನದ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ತಮ್ಮ ಮನದಾಳದ ಮಾತುಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಚ್ಚಿಟ್ಟ ಬಗೆ ಇದು.

ನಮ್ಮ ಪತ್ರಿಕೋದ್ಯಮ ಇರಬಹುದು, ಪುಸ್ತಕೋದ್ಯಮವೇ ಇರಬಹುದು. ಇಷ್ಟವರೆಗೂ ವಿಜೃಂಭಿಸುತ್ತಾ ಬಂದದ್ದು ವಿನ್ಯಾಸ ಅಲ್ಲ. ಕೇವಲ ಅಕ್ಷರಗಳು. ಈ ಅಕ್ಷರಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ವಿನ್ಯಾಸ ಸವಾರಿ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಅದರ ಸೊಬಗೇ ಬೇರೆ. ವಿನ್ಯಾಸ ಇಲ್ಲದ ಮನೆ ಹೇಗೆ ಬಡವಾಗುತ್ತದೋ ಅದೇ ರೀತಿ ವಿನ್ಯಾಸ ಇಲ್ಲದ ಅಕ್ಷರ ಕೂಡಾ.

ಆಟದ ಅಂಗಳಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಿ ನೋಡಿ. ಒಲಿಂಪಿಕ್ ಪ್ರವೇಶ ಬಯಸುವ ಕ್ರೀಡಾಳು ನೇರವಾಗಿ ಒಲಿಂಪಿಕ್ ಅಂಗಣಕ್ಕೆ ಧುಮುಕಿದರೆ ಏನಾಗುತ್ತದೆ, ಅದೇ ಆತ ಒಂದಷ್ಟು ತರಬೇತಿ ಪಡೆದು ನಂತರ ಅಂಗಣ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿದರೆ ಹೇಗಿರುತ್ತದೆ?

ತರಬೇತಿಯೇ ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಪ್ರವೇಶಿಸಿದ ಓಟಗಾರ ಮೊದಲಿಗೇ ಮುಗ್ಗರಿಸಿದರೆ, ಒಂದಷ್ಟು ಪ್ರವೇಶ ಪಡೆದವ ಮುಂದಕ್ಕೆ ಓಡಲು ಶಕ್ತನಾಗುತ್ತಾನೆ.

ಕನ್ನಡ ಅಕ್ಷರಗಳಿಗೆ ಹೀಗೆ 'ವಿನ್ಯಾಸ'ದ ತರಬೇತಿ ಬೇಕು. ಆಗ ಬರುತ್ತದೆ ಅದಕ್ಕೊಂದು ಚಂದ. ಇಲ್ಲಿ 'ಚಂದದ ಕನ್ನಡ' ಅನಾವರಣಗೊಂಡಿರುವುದೂ ಇದೇ ಚಿಂತನೆಯ ಮೂಸೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎನ್ನುತ್ತಾರೆ ಮನೋಹರ ಆಚಾರ್ಯ.

ಬಹಳ ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದ ತಮ್ಮದೇ ಚಿಂತನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮುಳುಗಿ 'ಚಂದದ ಕನ್ನಡ' ಹೇಗಿರಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಕನಸು ಕಾಣುತ್ತಾ ಅದಕ್ಕೊಂದು ರೂಪಕೊಟ್ಟ ಮನೋಹರ ಆಚಾರ್ಯ ಅವರ ಕಲ್ಪನೆಯ ಕೂಸು ಇದೀಗ ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಬಲ್ಲಾಳಬಾಗಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವ ಪ್ರಸಾದ ಆರ್ಟ್ ಗ್ಯಾಲರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಣ್ಣು ಬಿಡುತ್ತಿದೆ.

ಆಳ್ವಾಸ್ ಫೌಂಡೇಷನ್ನಿನ ಡಾ. ಎಂ. ಮೋಹನ ಆಳ್ವ ಅವರು ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 14ರ ಸಂಜೆ 4.30ಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರದರ್ಶನವನ್ನು ಉದ್ಘಾಟಿಸಿದರೆ, ಕಲಾವಿದ ಗಣೇಶ ಸೋಮಯಾಜಿ ಮುಖ್ಯ ಅತಿಥಿಯಾಗಿ ಪಾಲ್ಗೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.

ಮಾರ್ಚ್ 14ರಿಂದ 18ರವರೆಗೆ ಈ 'ಚಂದದ ಕನ್ನಡ' ನೋಡಲು ತೆರೆದಿರುತ್ತದೆ.

ಹಾಂ. ಹೇಳಲು ಮರೆತದ್ದು- ದೀರ್ಘಕಾಲದಿಂದ 'ಸುಧಾ' 'ಪ್ರಜಾವಾಣಿ', 'ಮಯೂರ' ಬಳಗದಲ್ಲಿ ಸೇವೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ಮನೋಹರ ಆಚಾರ್ಯ ಮೂಲತಃ ದಕ್ಷಿಣ ಕನ್ನಡದವರೇ.

ಆಚಾರ್ಯ ಅವರ ವಿನ್ಯಾಸದ ಮುಷ್ಠಿಯೊಳಗೆ ಪಳಗಿದ 'ಚಂದದ ಕನ್ನಡ'ವನ್ನು ನೋಡಲು, ನಿಮ್ಮ ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯವನ್ನು ನೋಂದಾಯಿಸಲು ಆರ್ಟ್ ಗ್ಯಾಲರಿಯತ್ತ ಹೆಜ್ಜೆ ಹಾಕುತ್ತಿರಲ್ಲ?
