Mumbai: Mahabharat is set to be made from Draupadi's point of view, and actress Deepika Padukone will play the central character. She has teamed up with producer Madhu Mantena and will be producing the film too.

Deepika turned producer with "Chhapaak", a film inspired by the life of acid attack survivor, Laxmi Agarwal. Her second production, "Mahabharat", will be seen through the eyes of Draupadi which will give a fresh take on the mythological tale.

"I'm absolutely thrilled and honoured to be essaying the role of Draupadi. I truly believe that it is the role of a lifetime. While the 'Mahabharat' is popularly known for its mythological tales and cultural influence, many of life's lessons are also derived from the 'Mahabharat' but most often from its men. Telling it with this fresh and new perspective will not only be interesting but also very significant," Deepika said.

It will be made in a series of parts with the first one slated to release in Diwali 2021.

Mantena said: "While we have all consumed the 'Mahabharat' all our lives, the uniqueness of our film is seeing the same story from the point of view of Draupadi, who is one of the most significant heroines in our country's cultural history.

"And Deepika is not just the biggest Indian actress today, but someone who can take this narrative across borders. If it weren't with her, we would not be making this film

Rahul's lawyer has said that he will approach court after going through FIR filed by Pratyusha's mother who claimed that Rahul used to beat his daughter.  The lawyer also added that Rahul is not in the condition to be interrogated by the police. 

Reportedly, Pratyusha and Rahul were in a relationship prior to the TV actress' suicide on Friday, April 1. The 'Balika Vadhu' actress allegedly hanged herself at a young age of 24 in her Mumbai flat.

Thiruvananthapuram:  As intolerance debate is raging in the country, Bollywood actress Manisha Koirala on Wednesday, 11 November 2015, said it was not true that the entire country was "intolerant".

"It is not true saying that entire India is not tolerant... there are certain sections may be. I believe in our culture and tradition and doing right things. There is a beauty in it. I also believe in the freedom of expression," she told a press-meet at Thiruvananthapuram.

The Bollywood actress was replying to a question regarding the recent controversial statement of actor Shahrukh Khan on "growing intolerance" in the country.

"Every soul has the freedom to live their own life. I cannot force you to live according to my views. I believe in certain liberal world," Manisha, who was here for the shooting of Lenin Rajendran-directed Malayalam movie "Idavappathi", said.

The 'Dil Se' girl also said she believes in culture and tradition, but also in freedom of expression in the liberal world.

The actress, however, ducked questions on return of awards by film personalities and writers saying she was away from the country for some time.

The 45-year-old actress, who successfully battled cancer, said though cancer was not a death sentence, it still had a stigma attached to it. Even movies were giving wrong messages about the disease.

"Cancer is not a death sentence. There is life after that. But, even movies are creating a wrong impression about it. We can actually give correct medical information about the disease through cinema," she said.

Manisha said cricketer Yuvraj Singh and actor Lisa Ray, who had braved cancer, were the inspirational figures during the tough times of her life.

The actress, who enacted the role of a chain smoker in some movies, said it is an "extremely harmful thing to do" in life.

"We have to do campaigns against smoking. I was living unconsciously till my disease was diagnosed. It was a wake-up call for me. Life is a gift and we should honour that," she said.

The "Khamoshi" actress said women now-a-days have to go through great struggle to keep themselves in a respectable position in the society.

"I am more towards giving equality and education to women. I think, education and spirituality is the only answer for their problems," the actress added.

Manisha plays a significant role in "Idavappathi" which deals with the story of the mental conflicts of a Tibetan Buddhist who lives in India.

Chennai:  Well-known Tamil comedian and actress #Manorama died here on Saturday, 10^th October 2015 late night. She was 78 and is survived by her son and singer-actor #Boopathy.

After succumbing to a cardiac arrest at her residence, she was rushed to Apollo hospital here, where she breathed her last.

"After dinner last night (Saturday), she complained of some pain in her chest and struggled to breathe. We rushed her to #Apollo hospital where she failed to respond to the treatment and passed away late night," a family source told.

Over the last few months, she was receiving treatment due to multiple organ failures.

Popularly known as 'Aachi' by her fans, Manorama has starred in over 1,000 films across five languages and sung over 100 songs.

She was born as Gopishanta in Manargudi in 1937 and began her career as a stage artiste at a time when women rarely acted in plays.

As a stage artiste, she chose to change her name to Manorama.

In 1958, she made her acting debut in Tamil film "Malayitta Mangai", and since then went on to star predominantly in Tamil and Telugu films.

Known as one of the finest female comedians, Manorama proved her versatility with impeccable body language and dialogue delivery. She could render dialogues with ease in any dialect of Tamil.

Some of her best Tamil films include "Anbe Vaa", "Ethir Neechal", "Galatta Kalyanam", "Chittukuruvi", "Durga Devi", "Annalakshmi" and "Imayam".

In Telugu, she starred in films such as "Rikshavodu", "Krishnarjuna" and "Subhodayam".

In 1974, she shared the screen space with legendary comedian Mehmood in Hindi film "Kunwara Baap".

A recipient of the #Kalaimamani award, she was bestowed with the #Padma Shri in 2002.

Manorama starred with 5 Chief Ministers: #Annadurai, #M.G. Ramachandran, #M. Karunanidhi,  #Jayalalithaa of Tamilnadu and #N.T. Ramarao of Andhra Pradesh.

She holds the record of starring opposite a host of Tamil superstars, from M.G.Ramachandran to #Rajinikanth and #Kamal Haasan.

ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು: ಬಹುಶಃ, ಒಂದು- ಒಂದೂವರೆ ವರ್ಷದ ಹಿಂದೆ. ಬೆಂಗಳೂರಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಬಾಣಸವಾಡಿ, ನಾಗವಾರ, ಹೆಗಡೆ ನಗರ ಆಸುಪಾಸಿನ ನಿವಾಸಿಗಳ ಒಂದು ತಂಡ ಡಾ. ವಿ.ಎಸ್. ಆಚಾರ್ಯ ಅವರನ್ನು ಭೇಟಿ ಮಾಡಿತ್ತು. ಗೋವುಗಳ ಹತ್ಯೆಯನ್ನು ನಿಷೇಧಿಸಬೇಕು, ಗೋವುಗಳಿಂದ ಆಗುವ ಆರ್ಥಿಕ ಲಾಭಗಳ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚು ಜನರಲ್ಲಿ ಅರಿವು ಮೂಡಿಸಬೇಕು ಎಂಬುದಾಗಿ ಕಳ ಕಳಿಯ ಮನವಿ ಮಾಡುವುದು ಈ ತಂಡದ ಉದ್ದೇಶವಾಗಿತ್ತು. ಡಾ. ರಾಜಾರಾಮ ಪ್ರಸಾದ್, ಡಾ. ಶ್ಯಾಮ ಪ್ರಸಾದ್ ಮತ್ತಿತರ ಹಲವರು ಇದ್ದ ಈ ತಂಡದಲ್ಲಿ  ನಾನೂ ಇದ್ದೆ. ವಾಸ್ತವವಾಗಿ  ಆಗ ಮುಖ್ಯಮಂತ್ರಿಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದ ಬಿ.ಎಸ್. ಯಡಿಯೂರಪ್ಪ ಅವರನ್ನು ಭೇಟಿ ಮಾಡಬಯಸಿದ್ದರೂ ಅದು ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗದೇ ಇದ್ದುದರಿಂದ ಆಗ ಗೃಹ ಸಚಿವರಾಗಿದ್ದ ಆಚಾರ್ಯ ಅವರನ್ನು  ಈ ನಿಯೋಗ ಭೇಟಿ ಮಾಡಿತ್ತು.

ಮನವಿ ಸ್ವೀಕರಿಸಿದ ಆಚಾರ್ಯರು ಗೋಹತ್ಯೆ ನಿಷೇಧದ ಮಸೂದೆ ಸಿದ್ಧ ಪಡಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ, ಶೀಘ್ರದಲ್ಲೇ ಅದನ್ನು ವಿಧಾನಮಂಡಲದಲ್ಲಿ  ಮಂಡಿಸಲಾಗುತ್ತದೆ ಎಂದು ಭರವಸೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟರು.

ಬಳಿಕ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದಾಗ ಜೊತೆಗಿದ್ದವರು ನನ್ನನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಿ ಆಚಾರ್ಯರಿಗೆ ಪರಿಚಯ  ಹೇಳಲು ಹೊರಟರು. ತತ್ ಕ್ಷಣವೇ ಆಚಾರ್ಯ ಅವರು 'ಗೊತ್ತು ಬಿಡಿ, ನನ್ನ ಜೈಲುಮೇಟ್' ಎಂದು  ಹೇಳಿ ಅಲ್ಲಿದ್ದವರನ್ನೆಲ್ಲ ಅಚ್ಚರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕೆಡವಿ ಬಿಟ್ಟರು.

ಹೌದು. ಆಚಾರ್ಯರ ನೆನಪಿನ ಶಕ್ತಿ ಅದ್ಭುತ. ನಾನು ಮತ್ತು ವಿ.ಎಸ್. ಆಚಾರ್ಯ ಅವರು  ಜೈಲುಮೇಟ್ ಗಳಾಗಿ ಇದ್ದದ್ದು 1975ರಲ್ಲಿ. ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ ಇಂದಿರಾಗಾಂಧಿ ಅವರು ತುರ್ತು ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಹೇರಿದ್ದ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ. ತುರ್ತು ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿಯ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ನಡೆದ ಹೋರಾಟ ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಲವಾರು ಮಂದಿ ಸೆರೆಮನೆ ಸೇರಿದರೆ, ನಾನು ಗೆಳೆಯ  ರವಿ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಮಹಾತ್ಮಾ ಗಾಂಧೀಜಿಯವರ ಭಾವಚಿತ್ರದೊಂದಿಗೆ 'ಅಸತ್ಯ , ಅನ್ಯಾಯ, ದಬ್ಬಾಳಿಕೆಗಳ  ಮುಂದೆ ತಲೆ ಬಾಗುವುದು ಹೇಡಿತನ' ಎಂಬ ಬರಹ ಇದ್ದ ಪೋಸ್ಟರ್ ಹಚ್ಚಲು ಮಂಗಳೂರು ನಗರದ ಬೀದಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಸುತ್ತಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದೆ. ಒಂದು ರಾತ್ರಿ ಇಡೀ ಆ ಕೆಲಸ ಮಾಡಿ, ಮರುದಿನ ಬೆಳಗ್ಗೆ ಮತ್ತೆ ಆ ಕೆಲಸ ಮುಂದುವರೆಸಿದಾಗ ಪೊಲೀಸರ ಕಣ್ಣಿಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದು  ಬಂಧಿತನಾಗಿದ್ದೆ. ಅದೇ ವೇಳೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂಧಿತರಾದ ಇತರ ಮೂವರು ನಂತರ ನನಗೆ ಸೆರೆಮನೆಯೊಳಗೆ ಪರಿಚಿತರಾದರು.

ಮೂರು ದಿನ ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಬಂದರು ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸಕಲ 'ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಆತಿಥ್ಯ' ಬಳಿಕ ಮಂಗಳೂರಿನ ಸಬ್ ಜೈಲಿಗೆ ರವಾನೆಯಾಗಿದ್ದೆ. ನವೆಂಬರ್ 14ರ ಮಕ್ಕಳದಿನ ದೇಶದಾದ್ಯಂತ ತುರ್ತು ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ವ್ಯಾಪಕ ಸತ್ಯಾಗ್ರಹ ಆರಂಭವಾಗಿ, ಲಕ್ಷಾಂತರ ಜನ ಬಂಧಿತರಾಗಿ ಸೆರೆಮನೆ ಸೇರಿದರು. ಅದಕ್ಕೂ ಎರಡು  ದಿನ ಮುಂಚಿತವಾಗಿ ಸೆರೆಮನೆ ಸೇರಿದ್ದ ನಾನು ಹಾಗೂ ಇತರ ಮೂವರು ಅದಕ್ಕೂ ಮೊದಲು ಬಂಧಿತರಾಗಿದ್ದ ಕೊಡಗಿನ ಇಬ್ಬರು  ಇದ್ದ ಸೆರೆಮನೆಗೆ ನೂರಾರು ಮಂದಿ ಬಂದು  ಸೇರಿದರು. ಹಾಗೆ ಒಳಗೆ ಬಂದಿದ್ದವರಲ್ಲಿ ಒಬ್ಬರು ಡಾ.  ವಿ.ಎಸ್. ಆಚಾರ್ಯರಾಗಿದ್ದರೆ ಇನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರು  ಡಾ.  ಮಾಧವ ಭಂಡಾರಿ.

ಡಾ. ಆಚಾರ್ಯ ಎಲ್ಲರ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಮಾತನಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಆತ್ಮೀಯರಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ನಾನಿನ್ನೂ ಆಗ ಬಿಎ ಪ್ರಥಮ ವರ್ಷದ ವಿದ್ಯಾರ್ಥಿ. ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಠಾಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗೆ ಪೊಲೀಸ್ ಆತಿಥ್ಯವಾಗಿದ್ದ ಹಿನ್ನೆಲೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸ್ವತಃ ವೈದ್ಯರಾಗಿದ್ದ ಅವರು ವಿಶೇಷ ಮುತುವರ್ಜಿ ವಹಿಸಿ ತಪಾಸಣೆ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರು. ಜೈಲು ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಶಿಫಾರಸು  ಮಾಡಿ ವೆನ್ ಲಾಕ್ ಆಸ್ಪತ್ರೆಗೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನ ಚಿಕಿತ್ಸೆಗೂ ಕಳುಹಿಸಿದ್ದರು.

ಹಾಗೆ ಸೆರೆಮನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂರು ತಿಂಗಳು ಇದ್ದ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನನಗೆ ಆಚಾರ್ಯ ಸೇರಿದಂತೆ ಹಲವರನ್ನು ಹತ್ತಿರದಿಂದ ಕಾಣುವ ಅವಕಾಶ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿತ್ತು. ಆಚಾರ್ಯ ಅವರು ಕೇವಲ ವೈದ್ಯರಷ್ಟೇ ಅಲ್ಲ, ಹಸ್ತ ಸಾಮುದ್ರಿಕರೂ ಆಗಿದ್ದರು ಎಂಬುದು ನನಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಾದದ್ದು ಆಗಲೇ. ಜೈಲಿನ ಒಳಗಿದ್ದ ಹಲವರ ಅಂಗೈ ನೋಡುತ್ತಾ ಅವರ ಭವಿಷ್ಯ ಹೇಳುವ ಕೆಲಸವನ್ನು ಆಚಾರ್ಯ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರು.

ಅವರು ನನ್ನ ಅಂಗೈಯನ್ನು ಕೂಡಾ ನೋಡಿ  ಭವಿಷ್ಯ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರು. ಅಂಗೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದ ರೇಖೆಯೊಂದನ್ನು ತೋರಿಸಿ 'ನಿನ್ನ ಜೈಲುವಾಸವನ್ನು ಸೂಚಿಸುವ ರೇಖೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿದೆ ನೋಡು' ಎಂದಿದ್ದರು. ಜೀವನದ ಉದ್ದಕ್ಕೂ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆಗಳನ್ನು ಎದುರಿಸುತ್ತಲೇ ಇರಬೇಕಾಗುತ್ತದೆ. ಆದರೆ ಹೆದರ ಬೇಕಾಗಿಲ್ಲ. ನಿನಗೆ ನಿರಂತರ ಬಲ ಕೊಡುವ ಒಂದು ರೇಖೆಯೂ ನಿನ್ನ ಕೈಯೊಳಗೆ ಇದೆ. ಈ ರೇಖೆಯ ಬಲದಿಂದಾಗಿ ನೀನು ಯಾವುದೇ ಸಮಯದಲ್ಲಿ ಕಷ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದರೂ ಯಾವುದೋ ಒಂದು ಕಡೆಯಿಂದ ನೆರವು ಬಂದು ಆ ಕಷ್ಟದಿಂದ ಪಾರಾಗುವೆ ಎಂದು ಭವಿಷ್ಯ  ಹೇಳಿದ್ದರು.

ಆಚಾರ್ಯರು  ಹೇಳಿದ್ದು ಸುಳ್ಳಾಗಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಆ ಬಳಿಕದ ಕಳೆದ 36 ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಾನು ಅದೆಷ್ಟೋ ಸಂದರ್ಭಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಆಚಾರ್ಯ ಭವಿಷ್ಯ ನಿಜವಾದುದನ್ನು ಕಂಡಿದ್ದೇನೆ. ಹಾಗೆ ನಿಜವಾದಾಗಲೆಲ್ಲ, ನನ್ನ ಕೈಯಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ರೇಖೆಯನ್ನು ನೋಡುತ್ತಾ ಆಚಾರ್ಯರ ನೆನಪು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳುತ್ತಿರುತ್ತೇನೆ.

ಜೈಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಆಚಾರ್ಯರು ನಮ್ಮ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ಇದ್ದದ್ದು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪ ಸಮಯ ಮಾತ್ರ. ನಂತರ ಅವರನ್ನು ಮತ್ತು ಡಾ. ಮಾಧವ ಭಂಡಾರಿ ಅವರನ್ನು 'ಮೀಸಾ' ಪ್ರಯೋಗಿಸಿ ಬಳ್ಳಾರಿ ಜೈಲಿಗೆ ಸಾಗಹಾಕಿದ್ದರು. ಭಾರತ್ ಮಾತಾ ಕೀ ಜೈ ಘೋಷಣೆಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ ಸೆರೆವಾಸಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲರು ಅವರನ್ನು ಬೀಳ್ಕೊಟ್ಟಿದ್ದರು.

ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತ ಮಿತ್ರ ಜಯರಾಮ ಅಡಿಗ ಅವರು  ಈದಿನ (14 ಫೆಬ್ರವರು 2012 ಮಂಗಳವಾರ) ಬೆಳಗ್ಗೆ ಎಫ್ ಎಂ ರೈನ್ ಬೋ ದಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಸಾರವಾದ ನನ್ನ 'ಕರ್ತ ಪತ್ರಕರ್ತ' ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಆಲಿಸಿ ಫೋನ್ ಮಾಡಿದ್ದರು. ಮಾತುಕತೆ ಮುಗಿಸಿ ಫೋನ್ ಕೆಳಗಿಟ್ಟವರೇ ಮರುಕ್ಷಣದಲ್ಲೇ ಪುನಃ ಫೋನ್ ಮಾಡಿ ಆಚಾರ್ಯರ ಹಠಾತ್ ನಿಧನದ ಆಘಾತಕರ ಸುದ್ದಿ ಹೇಳಿದರು.

ಟಿವಿ ಹಾಕಿದರೆ ಟಿವಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆಚಾರ್ಯ  ನಿಧನದ ಸುದ್ದಿ ಬಿತ್ತರವಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು..

ಆಚಾರ್ಯರಂತಹ  ಸಜ್ಜನ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ  ರಾಜಕಾರಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಇರುವುದು ಬಲು ಅಪರೂಪ. ಅವರ ಆತ್ಮಕ್ಕೆ ಶಾಂತಿ ಸಿಗಲಿ. ಅವರ ಬಂಧು ಬಳಗ, ಮಿತ್ರರಿಗೆ ನೋವು  ಭರಿಸುವ ಶಕ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಭಗವಂತ ಕರುಣಿಸಲಿ ಎಂದು ಈ ಕ್ಷಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಬೇಡುವೆ.

'ಸ್ನೇಹದ ತಿರುಳು' ಹಿಡಿದಿಟ್ಟಿರುವ ಈ ಪುಸ್ತಕದ ಹೆಸರು 'ಸ್ನೇಹ ಸಂಪತ್ತು.' 9 ಮೇ 2010ರ ಭಾನುವಾರ ಬೆಂಗಳೂರು ಬಸವನಗುಡಿಯ ನ್ಯಾಷನಲ್ ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ 'ಗಾಂಧಿ ನೆಹರೂ ರಂಗಮಂದಿರದಲ್ಲಿ ಚಿತ್ರನಟಿ ಭಾರತಿ ವಿಷ್ಣು ವರ್ಧನ್ ಅವರು ಈ ಪುಸ್ತಕವನ್ನು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆ ಮಾಡಿದಾಗ ಅಲ್ಲಿ ಧ್ವನಿವರ್ಧಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಮೊಳಗಿದ ಸಂಗೀತ ಬಿಟ್ಟಿರೆ ಇದ್ದುದು ನೀರವ ಮೌನ.

ಲೇಖಕ ಎಂ. ನರಸಿಂಹ ಮೂರ್ತಿ ಅವರು ವಿಷ್ಣು ಗೆಳೆಯರ ಬಳಗವನ್ನು ಸಂಪರ್ಕಿಸಿ ಅವರು ಹೇಳಿದ ಅನುಭವಗಳ ಆಧಾರದಲ್ಲಿ ರಚಿಸಿದ ಈ ಕೃತಿ ಕನ್ನಡದ ಖ್ಯಾತ ನಟ ದಿವಂಗತ ವಿಷ್ಣು ವರ್ಧನ್ ಅವರ ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಬದುಕಿನ ಹಲವಾರು ಮುಖಗಳನ್ನು ತೆರೆದಿಡುತ್ತದೆ. ಕೆಲ ತಿಂಗಳುಗಳ ಹಿಂದೆ ಅಗಲಿದ ವಿಷ್ಣು ವರ್ಧನ್ ಅವರ ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಜೀವನದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಬಂದ ಬಹುಶಃ ಮೊದಲ ಪುಸ್ತಕ ಇದು.

ಸಭಾಂಗಣದಲ್ಲಿ ನೆರೆದಿದ್ದ ಸಂಪತ್ ಕುಮಾರ ಯಾನೆ ವಿಷ್ಣು ವರ್ಧನ್ ಗೆಳೆಯರ ಬಳಗ, ಅಭಿಮಾನಿಗಳ ಬಳಗ ಸಮಾರಂಭದ ಬಳಿಕ ಭಾರತಿ ವಿಷ್ಣು ವರ್ಧನ್ ಅವರಿಂದ ಪುಸ್ತಕದಲ್ಲಿ 'ಆಟೋಗ್ರಾಫ್' ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡು ಈ ಸಮಾರಂಭದ ನೆನಪಿನ ಕ್ಷಣವನ್ನು ತಮ್ಮ ತಮ್ಮ ಪುಸ್ತಕಗಳಲ್ಲಿಯೇ ಭದ್ರ ಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು.

ಭಾರತಿ ವಿಷ್ಣು ವರ್ಧನ್ ಮತ್ತು ಚಿತ್ರನಟ ಸುಂದರರಾಜ್ ಸಮಾರಂಭವನ್ನು ಉದ್ದೇಶಿಸಿ ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ವಿಷ್ಣು ವರ್ಧನ್ ಅವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಇದ್ದ ಹಲವಾರು ಗೆಳೆಯರು, ಗೆಳತಿಯರು, ಚಿತ್ರ ನಟ, ನಟಿಯರು ತಮ್ಮ ಪ್ರೀತಿ,ಅನುಭವಗಳನ್ನು ಈ ಕೃತಿಯೊಳಗೆ ದಾಖಲಿಸುವ ಮೂಲಕ ನಿಜಕ್ಕೂ ಸ್ನೇಹ ಸಾರ್ಥಕ್ಯ ಮೆರೆದಿದ್ದಾರೆ. ಅವರ ನೆನಪು, ನಿಮ್ಮೆಲ್ಲರ ಸ್ನೇಹ ಸಂಪತ್ತು ಚಿರಾಯುವಾಗಿರಲಿ’ ಎಂದು ಹಾರೈಸಿದರು.

ವಿಷ್ಣು ವರ್ಧನ್ ಕನ್ನಡ ಚಿತ್ರರಂಗದಲ್ಲೇ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಸುಂದರ, ಆಕರ್ಷಕ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿತ್ವದ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯಾಗಿದ್ದರು. ಸಂತಸ, ದುಃಖ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದನ್ನೂ ಹಂಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳಬಯಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದ ಅವರು 'ಸ್ನೇಹಲೋಕ'ವನ್ನು ನಿರ್ಮಿಸಿದ್ದರು' ಎಂದು ನೆನಪು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡರು ಸುಂದರರಾಜ್.

ದೂರದರ್ಶನ ಕೇಂದ್ರದ ಹಿರಿಯ ನಿರ್ದೇಶಕ ಡಾ.ಮಹೇಶ್ ಜೋಶಿ, ನಟ ಕೂದವಳ್ಳಿ ಚಂದ್ರಶೇಖರ್, ಖ್ಯಾತ ಇತಿಹಾಸ ತಜ್ಞ ನಂಜರಾಜ ಅರಸು, ಕೃತಿಯ ಲೇಖಕ ಎಂ.ನರಸಿಂಹಮೂರ್ತಿ, ಕಾಲೇಜಿನ ಪ್ರಾಂಶುಪಾಲೆ ಡಾ. ಎಂ. ಲೀಲಾವತಿ, ಸಂಸ್ಥೆಯ ಗೌರವ ಅಧ್ಯಕ್ಷ ಆನಂದ್ ಇನ್ನಿತರರು ಉಪಸ್ಥಿತರಿದ್ದರು.

ಇಷ್ಟೆಲ್ಲ ಪೀಠಿಕೆ ಯಾರ ಬಗೆಗೆ ಅಂದರೆ 'ಸಂಪತ್ ಕುಮಾರ್' ಬಗ್ಗೆ. ಹಾಗಂದು ಬಿಟ್ಟರೆ ಯಾರೋ ಏನೋ ಅಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಮಂದಿ ಬಹಳ. ಅಲ್ಲಲ್ಲ, ಈ ಪೀಠಿಕೆ 'ಸಾಹಸ ಸಿಂಹ' ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅಂತ ಹೇಳಿದರೆ ಹಲವರ ಕಿವಿ ನೆಟ್ಟಗಾಗುತ್ತದೆ! ಇದು ವಿಷ್ಣು ವರ್ಧನ್ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅಂತ ಅರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಬಿಡುತ್ತದೆ.

ನೆತ್ರಕೆರೆ ಉದಯಶಂಕರ

ಸ್ಫುರದ್ರೂಪಿ. ಎಂತಹವರನ್ನೂ ಆಕರ್ಷಿಸುವ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿತ್ವ. ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ತಕ್ಕಂತೆಯೇ ಮಹಾ ತುಂಟ. ಜೊತೆಗಿದ್ದವರೊಂದಿಗೆ ಚೇಷ್ಟೆ. ಅಷ್ಟೇ ಸ್ನೇಹಮಯ ಒಡನಾಟ, ಕಲಾವಿದರನ್ನು ಕಂಡರ ಅಪ್ಪಟ ಅಭಿಮಾನ. ಕಷ್ಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಇದ್ದವರನ್ನು ಕಂಡರೆ ಎಡಗೈಗೆ ಗೊತ್ತಾಗದಂತೆ ಬಲಗೈಯಿಂದ ದಾನ ಮಾಡುವ ಕಾಳಜಿ.

ಇಷ್ಟೆಲ್ಲ ಪೀಠಿಕೆ ಯಾರ ಬಗೆಗೆ ಅಂದರೆ 'ಸಂಪತ್ ಕುಮಾರ್' ಬಗ್ಗೆ. ಹಾಗಂದು ಬಿಟ್ಟರೆ ಯಾರೋ ಏನೋ ಅಂದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಮಂದಿ ಬಹಳ. ಅಲ್ಲಲ್ಲ, ಈ ಪೀಠಿಕೆ 'ಸಾಹಸ ಸಿಂಹ' ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅಂತ ಹೇಳಿದರೆ ಹಲವರ ಕಿವಿ ನೆಟ್ಟಗಾಗುತ್ತದೆ! ಇದು ವಿಷ್ಣು ವರ್ಧನ್ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಅಂತ ಅರ್ಥವಾಗಿ ಬಿಡುತ್ತದೆ.

ಹೌದು. ಬೆಳ್ಳಿ ಪರದೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಮೂಡಿ ಬಂದು ಅಭಿಮಾನಿಗಳ ಮನಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಅಚ್ಚೊತ್ತಿ ನಿಂತಿರುವ ವಿಷ್ಣುವರ್ಧನ್ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಎಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ ಗೊತ್ತು ಆದರೆ ವಿಷ್ಣು ವರ್ಧನ್ ಅವರ ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಬದುಕಿನ ಬಗ್ಗೆ?

ವಿಷ್ಣು ಅವರ ವೈಯಕ್ತಿಕ ಬದುಕಿನ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಬಹುಶಃ ಇದೇ ಮೊತ್ತ ಮೊದಲ ಬಾರಿಗೆ ಕೃತಿಯೊಂದು ಬಿಡುಗಡೆಯಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಈ ಪುಸ್ತಕದ ಹೆಸರೇ 'ಸ್ನೇಹ ಸಂಪತ್ತು'.
