Now Medal Wapsi against OROP Notification

New Delhi: Ex- Servicemen announced Tuesday, 10^th November 2015 that they will start ‘Medal Wapsi’ from this day opposing the One Rank One Pension (OROP) Notification by Central Government, ANI reported.

Ex-Servicemen protesting in Jantar Manthar Delhi raised slogan "Sainik Kranti zindabad" and said that they will start Medal Wapsi from Today.

‘We will initiate 'Medal wapasi' from all across the nation today, will also hold rallies’ they said.

However Union Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar said that the biggest achievement of the year is getting OROP.

‘If you ask me, my single biggest achievement of year is getting OROP, this was not an easy task’ Minister said.

‘Almost all major aspects of OROP have been complied with. Commission is being appointed which will look into matters if remaining. The demand which was not even considered for last 50 years has been more or less completed’ he said.

‘My major job was to get OROP notification issued, which I have done.They must approach the Commission to discuss further problem. It is their democratic right (to protest),but I think they are misguided’ Parrikar said.
