IED blast near police station in Dhudhnoi

Guwahati: An IED blast took place on Monday, 4^th April 2016 evening near a police station in Dhudhnoi, Goalpara district in Assam killing at least 2 persons and injuring 3 policemen and 20 others.Injured taken to hospital ANI reported.
Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi was in Goalpara on Monday addressing a rally ahead of the elections. Assam had also witnessed the first phase of polling on Monday.

Assam ADGP confirmed that two have died, 3 policemen and 20 others have been injured in the blast. The ADGP also told ANI that the explosive was placed inside a dustbin. The injured are being taken to a government hospital, he said.

According to our sources, the blast took place near the BJP election office at around 7.30 pm.
