Siddaramiah was speaking to reporters after all party meeting on the issue.
“Karnataka will
release water to Tamil Nadu in the light of Supreme Court order, despite severe hardship, with
heavy heart’ he said.
After
implementation of Supreme Court order Karnataka will file a petition before the apex court, He
said. “As a state., we cannot
defy the Supreme Court Orders’ he added.
Earlier today,
protestors blocked a major highway in Karnataka for several hours against the
top court order. Movement between the two states was badly hit.
