158 Killed in Air Crash at Mangalore
Total 158 people killed in Air India Express Booing Crash near Bajpe at Mangalore on Saturday 22nd May 2010. There were 166 persons on the board including 7 crew. Eight Passengers who injured in the accident were out of danger and are admitted to various hospitals in Mangalore.
Plane which had the capacity of 186 was arriving from Dubai and met with an accident at Bajpe Airport while landing at about 6.20 A.M., burnt completely and fell on a vally near Kenjaru, 10 KMs away from Bajpe Airport. Nine persons who booked tickets didn't board the plane and saved fortunately.
Environment Support Group Bangalore has said that the Mangalore Air Crash is fallout of a criminal negligence of planning and regulatory authorities.
