Bengalure: Few people injured in an explosion t that took place near a restaurant on Church Street in Bengalure on Sunday 28th December 2014 night.

The nature of the blast was not confirmed but sources said it was a minor one. The blast occurred outside the Coconut Grove restaurant on Church Street. Few persons were injured in the explosion and were rushed to hospital. The condition of one of the woman was stated serious.

The police arrived on the spot and were investigating the case. The area was cordoned off after the blast.

Bengalure Police Commissioner M N Reddi said the blast on Church Street was of low-intensity. The commissioner, however, refused to divulge more details and said investigations are on. The injured woman, identified as Bhavani, was rushed to Mallya Hospital.
